Designed specifically for Waterloo Region non-profits and charities, CCK Storytelling and Video Creation Workshop Series is open to charities and non-profit organizations that want to become better storytellers. You can demonstrate your organization's impact on the lives of the people they serve, increase visibility with philanthropists, and connect with the media by sharing those stories on the Centre for Community Knowledge platform.
The next CCK Storytelling and Video Creation Workshop Series will be delivered over 4 sessions:
- November 10th - Storytelling: Storytelling principles and skill-building (6.5 hours)
- November 22nd & 23rd - Storytelling 1-on-1: Story draft feedback session with instructor (30 minutes)
- December 1st - Video Filming: Video basics and techniques (6.5 hours)
- January 12th - Video Editing: Editing short videos for the internet (6.5 hours)
Organizations attending the workshop will receive a helpful workbook to prepare and guide them through each session.
There is no cost to participate in the workshops!
Participating organizations are required to commit to:
- Spending time outside of the workshops to write, shoot and edit their stories and videos
- Preparation of all Centre for Community Knowledge content, ready for upload
- Active participation in all sessions and in homework activities
